Born in Scott City, Kansas October 13, 1950. Moved to Loveland, Colorado 11-22-63. Graduated from Loveland High June 1968. Went on to Colorado State University, graduating August 1973 with a BA in History. Graduate school at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California with a Master of Divinity Degree in June 1977. Ordained Deacon June 15, 1977 and Elder June 7, 1978.
Employment History
Oakland Police Reserve April 1974. and July 1979. Married Bernice Burr-Wilken March 8, 1980. WLEA certificate for Detention June 13, 1997 and POB April 11, 2003. Worked for United Methodist Church 19 years full time, and 24 years part time. Worked for Albany County Sheriff’s Office April 14, 1997 – January 2011
More recently
Transferred to part-time for the Albany County Planning Office from January 2011 to June 2016, and June 2021 to January 2025. Worked with Albany County Drug Court as a liaison from 2004 to 2011. Established Wilken Enterprises cleaning company January 25, 2012 – Present.
