THE CLOCK IS TICKING FOR WYOMINGITES
On January 1st, many Wyoming families will get hit with the highest insurance premium spikes in the nation.
Republicans in Congress like John Barrasso, Cynthia Lummis, and Harriet Hageman have been working so hard to give tax breaks to their billionaire buddies, they seem to have completely forgotten who they’re actually supposed to be working for- the people of Wyoming.
We’re staring down the highest premium spikes, in the entire nation, up to 693%! 🤯
Overnight, tens of thousands of Wyomingites won’t be able to afford heath insurance because ACA tax credits are about to expire.
And what are Barrasso, Lummis, and Hageman doing about it?
••• ••• •••
Either ignoring it completely, actually defending it… Or…blaming Obama?! 🙄
TIME IS RUNNING OUT
Donald Trump, Republicans in Congress, and the “Freedom” Caucus have created a healthcare crisis in Wyoming. As if it weren’t bad enough that thousands of families are about to be uninsured- skipping care, unable to afford medicine, and one emergency away from medical bankruptcy- our rural hospitals, clinics, and ERs are being put at risk of cuts or closure because of the additional one-two punch of the federal cuts in Trump’s Big Ugly Bill and the property tax cuts enacted by Wyoming’s Freedom Caucus.
All so their rich buddies can stuff even more money in their pockets.
THIS IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH
Next week, the Senate is expected to vote on the expiring ACA tax credits so many Wyomingites rely on.
Call Senators Barrasso and Lummis (and Representative Hageman, too!) and tell them this isn’t complicated:
It’s time to choose the people of Wyoming over Donald Trump.

TAKE ACTION BY CALLING AND WRITING
Keep health care affordable.
Protect Wyoming families.

QUICK TIPS FOR CONTACTING LEGISLATORS
Say who you are & where you live.
Start with your name and your county. If you’re not their constituent, they can (and often will) ignore you.
Make it personal.
Real stories and impacts matter more than talking points. How does this affect you or someone you love?
Keep it short & human.
A paragraph or two for emails is perfect. If you’re calling, a few clear sentences. Also avoid screaming, tempting as it is. 😜
Be clear about what you want.
Don’t just vent, tell them exactly what action you expect them to take.
You don’t have to be an expert.
You don’t need to drop all the facts and back them up with research. You just have to be honest. That’s enough.
