Wyoming Democrats Encourage Barrasso to Take His Deep Concern and Shove It
Cheyenne – After a disastrous Senate hearing with Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — in which Senator John Barrasso cited measles outbreaks, the firing of CDC Director Susan Monarez, mass resignations from vaccine advisory panels, and the NIH’s rejection of mRNA science as causes for deep concern — the Wyoming Democratic Party has released the following statement:
The time for deep concern was when Donald Trump nominated the least qualified candidate in American history to lead the agency responsible for protecting Americans’ health. The time for deep concern was before voting to confirm the most famous anti-vaxxer in America to oversee the country’s vaccine program.
John Barrasso is craven, but he’s not stupid. After all, he is a doctor. He knew exactly who and what he was voting to confirm — he just values his political career more than the lives of his constituents.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s incompetent, anti-science, anti-vaccine leadership has set our country back decades and endangers the lives and health of Americans every day he remains in office.
Until John Barrasso has the courage to do the right thing and call for his resignation, he can take his deep concern and shove it.
