Biden Wins Wyoming Democratic Presidential Preference Caucus
Democrats Gather in Counties Across the State to Cast Votes and Draft Platforms
Cheyenne – The Wyoming Democratic Party (WDP) announces that President Joe Biden has won the state’s 2024 Presidential Preference Caucus, securing 322 of 324 delegates to the party’s state convention being held in Casper on June 1, 2024. David Michael Olscamp secured one delegate and Uncommitted secured one delegate to the state convention.
All 13 delegates from Wyoming to the national convention will be pledged to President Joe Biden.
WDP Chair Joe M Barbuto shared the following statement:
“On behalf of the Wyoming Democratic Party, I’d like to congratulate President Biden on today’s victory. Wyoming is a state that values hard work, integrity, and honesty; Joe Biden is the candidate in this race that clearly reflects those values. We look forward to doing everything we can to ensure that the Biden-Harris ticket is successful in November, and that we elect Democrats up and down the ballot.”
In addition to the presidential preference caucus, Democrats met in their respective counties to draft party platforms and elect delegates to the state Democratic convention.
